Teacher hours derived from attendance, not retyped
Hours roll up from the classes that actually happened. Mike's weekly payroll digest lands Wednesday. Edits leave an audit trail.
The story
Payroll today is a Sunday-evening spreadsheet. Mike reconstructs the week's classes from memory and a printed schedule, makes a guess about subs and cancellations, and types it into the payroll provider.
Pirouette derives teacher hours from attendance + scheduled classes nightly. Cancellations and sub coverage shift hours automatically. Owners can audit-adjust with a note; the override is logged. The weekly payroll digest lands in the owner inbox on a configurable day — Wednesday by default.
What this looks like in practice
- Nightly workflow reads attendance + schedule, populates timecards
- Sub coverage and cancellations shift hours automatically
- Owner audit-edit with note attached; original derivation preserved
- Weekly digest to the owner inbox on a configurable day
